Our Candidate’s Journey

Dreaming of joining our Purple Team? Our Trainee Program’s application process is designed
to be seamless and transparent, ensuring a smooth journey ahead.

Here's a step-by-step
breakdown:

1. Online Application

Complete the online application form, in which there are specific questions prompting you to outline your favourite areas and the ones you prefer to avoid within your field.

2. Automatic Screening

If you appear not to meet the pre-defined eligibility criteria, you should receive an automated message providing an explanation.

3. Manual Validation

Candidates identified as eligible for a full-time internship will be analyzed based on their academic background and either be added to the list of candidates for a given perimeter (IT, Banking and Support Functions) or be informed that additional information is required to determine if their degrees are aligned with the vacancies Natixis is allowed to create (for example, as Natixis is not an Ocean Research Institute, we cannot request vacancies for marine biologists).

4. Exposure to the Team Members

Candidates grouped into relevant matches with our main areas of expertise will be shortlisted and shared with the appropriate Teams. Following this, either a member of the Human Resources Team may reach out to schedule a conversation with the Team or the Team may directly contact you.

There’s no need to be nervous, as the purpose of these conversations is to evaluate whether the specific project and planned tasks would seem motivating for you.

5. Interview and Follow-up

Congratulations! Either a Team demonstrated interest in moving forward with you or you’ll be given the opportunity to meet other Teams. If the Team would like to proceed, you’ll receive an e-mail with the good news, letting you know the team won’t be meeting additional candidates.

6. Admission

After a match between a candidate and a Team is found, the documentation phase is triggered. This phase is when all the paperwork is taken care of.

7. Tech & Banking Skills Accelerator

For specific perimeters, as a way to complement your academic knowledge, you’ll be invited to embark on real-world training paths focused on industry-specific skills, ensuring a smooth learning curve when joining our Teams. These programs will be delivered by Natixis global experts, adding value to your future. 

8. Onboarding

Natixis in Portugal hosts an Onboarding day to warmly welcome newcomers. During these sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about our organization, immerse yourself in Natixis culture and discover the purple way of doing things.

In 2025, there will be two main waves of Tech & Banking Skills Accelerators, one scheduled to begin in May and the other in September. Make sure to apply before these Accelerators, as that is when our primary recruitment campaigns will be active. Don't miss your chance! The earlier you apply, the greater the variety of projects and Teams, so you can choose your favourite flavours of Tech & Banking before any run out.
